Sui: Dubai Basecamp

Sui Basecamp is Sui’s flagship annual conference and the brand’s biggest global moment, bringing together partners, press, developers, VCs, and the broader crypto community for two days of product launches and ecosystem announcements. I led spatial design across three connected experiences: the main conference, a welcome event, and a closing celebration hosted at the world’s tallest infinity pool.

I designed all major 3D environments, developed floor plans to shape attendee flow, and created walkthrough renderings to align stakeholders ahead of fabrication. The scope included two stages, a merch retail space, 33 partner booths, and a large illuminated “floating” Sui logo installed in a pool, and much more. I also created detailed build drawings, coordinated two fabrication vendors, collaborated closely with production and AV teams on furniture and lighting, and managed additional 3D designers to ensure cohesion across all environments.

Inspired by the launch of a gaming console, the design leaned into tactility and industrial craftsmanship, incorporating burned heat-treated metallic finishes to evoke power and performance. At the center of the expo hall, “The Forge” acted as a sculptural beacon and meeting point, with integrated lighting that shifted throughout the day to visually represent how Sui powers its ecosystem.
